Brazilian singer electrocuted in strange accident during concert was 35 years old

Brazilian rock singer Ayres Sasaki was electrocuted last week during a live performance in Brazil

The musician died instantly after hugging a soaked fan during a July 13 concert at the Solar Hotel in Salinopolis. The contact allegedly caused a nearby wire to jolt, leading to a fatal electric shock, according to Mirror.

The Salinópolis Police are investigating the incident. The Civil Police of Pará say that witnesses have given statements and have requested expert reports. Istoé People reports.

Hotel Solar shared a statement on social media about the tragic incident.

“We are fully committed to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures. We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperate with the competent authorities for the correct clarification of the facts,” the hotel wrote in a translated message on Instagram. “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of Ayres Sasaki at this difficult time.”

Sasaki is survived by his wife of 11 months, Mariana.

On her Instagram story, Sasaki’s wife thanked fans.

“I want to thank you for every message of love and comfort, every prayer in this difficult time that we are going through,” Mariana wrote, according to Istoé People“I haven’t been able to read all the messages yet, but as I feel better I will respond to each one. Thank you.”
