With motivational talks and photos, the new school year began on Thursday, August 8 at Price Elementary School in the Anaheim Elementary School District.

The campus was one of dozens in Anaheim and neighboring communities that welcomed students back to classes this week: Savanna, Centralia and Cypress districts and the Anaheim Union High School District opened their 2024-25 academic year.

The Anaheim Elementary District, which serves nearly 15,000 students, begins the new year with a new superintendent, Jesus “Jesse” Chavarria, and plans to further expand its before- and after-school enrichment programs. Students in preschool through sixth grade have access to tutoring, music and sports programs, cultural activities and more.
