The rhythm of heat continues

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – We saw another very hot and humid day, with highs in the mid-90s and wind chills of over 115 degrees in some spots. We saw a few scattered storms near the Forgotten Coast early and a couple on I-10 late in the day.

Tonight: Another hot and humid night is expected with lows of 70 degrees inland and 80 degrees on the coast.

Friday: Friday will be very hot, with highs in the 90s and wind chills near 110 degrees. The chance of rain will be 20%.

Weekend: We’ll see a slightly better chance of storms on Saturday and Sunday (30-40%) with sunny and hot weather and highs around 90 degrees and a wind chill of 105 to 110 degrees.

Tropical zone: Debby will move northward over the next 24 hours toward Canada. Meanwhile, a new area in the Atlantic has a 50% chance of developing over the next 7 days as it moves west/northwest. There is a good chance it will become a hurricane. At this point it is too early to say whether it will move toward the Gulf or up the East Coast. The next name on the list is Ernesto.
