The Heat Beat Rolls On

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – We saw another day of high heat and humidity with highs in the mid to upper 90s and feels like temps over 115 in spots. We saw a few isolated storms near the Forgotten Coast early and a couple across I-10 late in the day.

Tonight: Expect another night of high heat and humidity with lows in the 70s inland and 80s at the coast.

Friday: It will be a scorcher on Friday with highs in the 90s area wide with feels like temps near 110. Rain chances will be 20%.

Weekend: We will see a slightly better chance of storms on Saturday and Sunday (30-40%) w/otherwise sunny and hot weather and highs in the mid 90s and feels like temps 105-110.

Tropics: Debby will move north over the next 24hrs toward Canada. Meanwhile a new area in the Atlantic has a 50% chance to develop in the next 7 days as it moves toward the W/NW. There is a good chance it will become a hurricane. Right now it is too early to say whether it moves toward the Gulf or up the east coast. The next name on the list is Ernesto.
