Byun Yo Han and Go Joon clash over a shared mission in new drama ‘Black Out’

MBC’s upcoming drama “Lose consciousness” has released a new poster with Byun Yo Han and Go Joonsparking excitement among fans. This crime thriller, adapted from the best-selling German novel “Snow White Must Die,” follows the intense journey of a young man, Go Jung Woo (Byun Yo Han), who was accused of murder in a case shrouded in mystery, with no bodies found. Eleven years later, he embarks on a quest to uncover the truth.
The latest poster captures the tension between Go Jung Woo and Noh Sang Chul (Go Joon), each driven by their own motives. Go Jung Woo’s face is shadowed, symbolizing his confusion and loss of memories that have marked him as a murderer. Meanwhile, Noh Sang Chul, a detective, stands behind Go Jung Woo, his face marked with suspicion and dissatisfaction, hinting at their complicated dynamic.
Despite their conflicting roles (one as a suspected killer and the other as a detective), they are united by their shared goal of unraveling the truth of that fateful night 11 years ago.
Byun Yo Han shared, “Noh Sang Chul is a character who is distrustful and hostile toward Go Jung Woo, which leads to fights and confrontations between them. I think we were only able to portray the nuances of each moment between our characters because it was Go Joon who was playing Noh Sang Chul.”
Go Joon said, “I have always considered Byun Yo Han “An excellent actor for his focus on the situation and his approach to his character. As the drama unfolds, Go Jung Woo and Noh Sang Chul become closer, and just like in the drama, Byun Yo Han and I became closer in a similar way. I think we became much closer towards the end of the drama because we had been maintaining the tension (between our characters) on set.”
Black Out premieres on August 16 at 9:50 p.m. KST and promises a thrilling mix of mystery, tension, and character-driven drama.
