Polygraph tests conducted in the RG Kar Medical College murder case

Lie detector tests on Sanjay Roy, the prime suspect in the alleged rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College, are being conducted at the Presidency Jail in Kolkata, officials confirmed on Sunday.

Two more people are expected to undergo similar tests at the CBI office in Kolkata. On Saturday, four people, including former director Sandip Ghosh, were subjected to polygraph tests.

The tests are being conducted by a team from Delhi’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL). The CBI had earlier informed the Supreme Court that the crime scene had been tampered with, alleging that the local police had tried to cover up the incident. The body of the victim, with serious injuries, was found in the hospital’s seminar room on August 9, leading to widespread protests and the CBI’s involvement in the probe on August 14.
