Louisville High School Hosts Jamboree

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WTOK) – The Louisville Wildcats hosted a jamboree for 20 local area football teams for the sixth year.

This jamboree is a great opportunity for teams to get live reps and work out any issues before the regular season begins.

Louisville Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Tyrone Shorter talks about how the jamboree is beneficial to teams.

“You know. It’s a big jamboree, a week before open season and we get to test it out and see where we’re at before the season starts and it’s great, you know, we’ve got some good teams in the area and like I said, it’s 20 teams and it’s been an awesome weekend competing so far. It’s just competition, good friends and rivalries, you know, it’s like a tune-up, you know it is. It’s a preseason game. You know, just like college and the NFL, you get a preseason game so the guys and the coaches can watch the film and make corrections moving forward before the season starts,” Coach Shorter said.

He also wanted to thank the sponsors who made the event possible!
