There are a few different ways to communicate:

  • In the events calendar, you can add your own events to the local schedule.
  • In the classifieds market, you can sell or give away your old stuff; find housing, tenants or roommates; find candidates for a job or offer your services; and make other local business announcements.
  • If you would like to contribute in a more formal or traditional way, you have the option to complete an additional verification step to publish a press release, column, op-ed, letter to the editor, or obituary in article form.

Adding your event to the Patch Community Calendar is a great way to increase attendance and let neighbors know about fun things happening near them. If the event you post has a date and time, it should always be posted as an event.

Once published, your event will appear in the main section of your Community Calendar and sometimes in other event preview sections on Patch and in emails to readers.

To boost your listing and give it more visibility, you can also pay to promote it as a “Featured” across the region. (Plus, your money will help support more local journalism in the communities you care about.)

  • Pets or other lost and found items
  • Housing (looking for or offering)

Post a classified ad

Once posted, your classified ad will appear in the main Classified Ads section of your community and sometimes in other preview sections of Patch and in emails sent to readers. Interested parties can use a contact form that will appear within your post to email you directly about your offer.

To boost your listing and give it greater visibility, you can also pay to promote it as “featured” throughout the region.
