Pawtucket ALS Walk event raises funds for patient care and research

PAWTUCKET (WJAR) — On Sunday, Slater Park in Pawtucket hosted Walk ALS, a community fundraising event for ALS United Rhode Island.

Participants walked the scenic loop around Slater Park Pond, played games and enjoyed snacks and music.

There was also an ice bucket challenge station open for guests.

Funds raised at the event will go toward providing patient care and support, advocating for ALS, and supporting research initiatives.

The online fundraiser will remain open until September 30th after all virtual walks are completed.
