Breaking down the Nittany Lions by position

The Penn State football team began preseason practice on July 31 and unofficially wrapped it up several days ago. Now, the eighth-ranked Nittany Lions can turn their full attention to their opener Saturday at West Virginia, where they’ll learn a lot more about themselves. “There comes a point where you just need to play somebody,” Penn State coach James Franklin said. “You see some really good things on tape.
