Job Fairs: UP govt organises job fairs in four districts to provide 30,000 job opportunities | Lucknow News

Lucknow: To meet its target of providing government jobs to 2 lakh youth in the next two years, the state government is set to hold Job Fairs in four different districts over the next 10 days, providing approximately 30,000 employment opportunities, a government spokesman said.
“To close the gap between skilled workers youth and employment opportunities“The UP government, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is organising a series of job fairs under the Mission Employment initiative. The government has set a target of providing government jobs to 2 lakh youth in two years, and the job fairs are a crucial step in this direction,” he said.
The spokesperson said that three successful job fairs had already been organised in the state in August, through which 17,000 appointment letters were issued in Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya and Muzaffarnagar.
“Similar fairs will be organised in Mainpuri and Aligarh on August 27 and 28, while job fairs will be held in Mirzapur and Moradabad on September 1 and 2. At least 1,000 appointment letters will be issued in each district,” he said, adding that the CM was likely to attend the events as the chief guest.
Kapil Dev Aggarwal, state minister for vocational education, skill development and entrepreneurship (independent), said, “Following the CM’s directives, job fairs are being organised in the state. Under the UP skill development mission, the government is organising various activities to connect youth with employment after training.”
Fifty companies have been invited to each of these four districts for interviews. The key sectors that have generated employment are manufacturing, engineering, telecommunications, healthcare, construction and information technology.
The spokesman said that over the past 7.5 years, 650,000 young people have obtained government jobs, while 375,000 have obtained contract jobs. An estimated 200,000 people have found private employment, mainly in the manufacturing sector.
