A former correctional supervisor at the Dickson County Jail is facing multiple felony charges after a recent investigation uncovered that he allegedly had sex with a female inmate last year.

Special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating Calvin Wayne Lewis at the request of 23rd Judicial District Attorney General Ray Crouch, according to a statement.

During the course of their investigation, agents determined that Lewis, 41, had sexual contact with a Dickson County Jail inmate on Nov. 1, 2023, while he was working at the jail as a supervisor.

No further details were released about the alleged encounter between Lewis and the inmate.

On Aug. 22, a Dickson County grand jury returned indictments against Lewis. He has been charged with three counts of sexual contact with an inmate, according to the release.

Lewis was arrested and sent to the Dickson County Jail on $25,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Dickson County Circuit Court to face the charges at 9 a.m. on Sept. 9.
