Kitsap County High School Football 2024 Season Preview

Kitsap and North Mason high school football teams are gearing up for the 2024 season, with practices beginning Aug. 16 and home openers scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6.

Below you’ll find links to some early-season stories about what to expect this season, and preview stories for each West Sound team will be linked on this page next week. Check back for new stories, including the Sun’s forecast for Week 1 games, all the way through to the start of football season.

West Sound 2024 Soccer Schedule

Two of Kitsap’s largest schools will compete in reformed leagues this fall, and some of the smaller ones will see some changes, such as Kingston dropping down to the Nisqually 1A League to join Klahowya. Here’s a week-by-week schedule to plan for the season.

West Sound Soccer Players to Watch

Gone is Logan Sloman, the North Kitsap star named Sun Player of the Year for both the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Who will fill that void as the top pick from the West Sound teams? North Kitsap brings back a running back who has piled up stats, Bainbridge has the league’s offensive player of the year back under center, and Bremerton, CK, Klahowya and Olympic all feature punishing linebacker/running back hybrids who will be key to the season.
