OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s officials say they have recovered three stolen vehicles following a pre-dawn traffic stop in the Ooltewah area.

It all started when a resident called around 2:25 a.m. to report that someone was trying to break into a vehicle in a subdivision on Lacie Jay Lane.

Officers began searching the area and thirty minutes later stopped a vehicle heading south on Ooltewah-Georgetown Road.

They say the vehicle’s license plate was suspended and a hidden gun was later found.

Officers arrested driver Khalil Sivels and his passenger Jaden Jones.

They say the three stolen vehicles were later found near Sivels’ home.

Both men were charged with various counts of car theft.

Jones will also face charges of weapons, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
