2. The intimate relationships workshop

Make an appointment with your partner on August 30, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., for a workshop where Mind Matters Academy instructor Vincent Yeung will help couples discover the secrets to a life of passion and intimacy.

The workshop is designed to help people rekindle the spark in their relationship through meaningful conversations to deepen trust and understanding, helping couples manage conflict in a healthy and productive way, and teaching them how to maintain passion and enthusiasm. The cost is HK$1,280 (US$165) per couple.

3. A Paws for Love Day

Bring your dog to Mother Pearl Plant-Based Bubble Tea Shop from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 31 to participate in fun activities and enjoy some treats.

Mother Pearl, in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island, has partnered with child development centre Rise Wise Foundation to raise funds for its therapy dogs and learning programmes.

4. Saturday comedy show

They say laughter is the best medicine, so head to BaseHall 2 in Central for an evening of stand-up comedy hosted by comedian Mohammed Magdi. The event will feature Maitreyi Karanth, Mahesh Mansigani, Bryan Bentley and Annie Louey.

The fun starts on August 31 at 8pm and lasts until 9.30pm. Tickets cost between HK$191 and HK$297, depending on how far in advance you buy them.

5. A fun kayak ride for the whole family in Sai Kung

Explore Sai Kung and visit a small island on this kayak tour, provided by Yee Tai (HK) Travel Service, which is open to adults and children over six years old.

Basic training and a simple lunch will be provided. The tour starts and ends at Sha Ha Beach in Sai Kung and lasts from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The price is HK$299 per person, which includes the day’s kayaking fee, instructor fee, equipment, life jacket, lunch and safety insurance.
