A woman is hit by a train while crossing the train tracks on the platform and is saved by a policeman

The dramatic rescue was recorded on security cameras installed on the platform.

A Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on standby at Jalgaon railway station in Maharashtra saved a woman, who was hit by a train while trying to cross the railway tracks on Wednesday. The dramatic rescue was recorded by the CCTV installed on the platform.

The video shows police officer Chango Patil watching a woman cross the tracks as the train was about to reach the platform. He then quickly runs towards her as she tries to get on the platform.

Mr. Patil fails to get her onto the platform on his first attempt, leaving the woman trapped between the carriage and the platform.

The train then hits her and drags her for several meters.

The police officer then quickly runs towards her and rescues the woman.

Other police officers and passengers also gathered on the platform and took the woman to hospital.
