Georgetown police arrest man accused of breaking into same home twice

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) – The Georgetown Police Department says it arrested a man during a robbery in the city’s historic district.

James Franklin Collington, 39, is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, simple possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a pistol, police said on Facebook.

Police say he was in possession of a gun, a knife and marijuana when he was arrested during the robbery. He is accused of breaking into the same home on two separate occasions, according to police.

Officers booked Collington into the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
