Yango partners with Beaver Health Group to launch “Wellness on Wheels” program for driver and courier partners in Ghana | Health

International transportation and mobility service Yango, part of a global technology company, Yango Group, has partnered with Beaver Health, a renowned health and wellness service provider to provide subsidized health and wellness services for its members, driver-partners, couriers and their families in Ghana.

The partnership, dubbed “Wellness on Wheels,” was launched on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at a signing event held at the Beaver Clinic in Accra. Yango partners, drivers and couriers underwent free health and wellness screenings and extensive medical counseling.

Mr. Tom Ofonime, Yango Country Manager in Ghana, highlighted Yango’s commitment to providing opportunities for all partner drivers and couriers to access health and wellness services on a regular basis. This, he said, is part of the company’s #YangoCares agenda, which aims to make the lives of Ghanaians easier and better through technology.

He said, “We are proud to partner with Beaver Health to launch the ‘Wellness on Wheels’ programme for our Yango partners, driver partners, couriers and their families. At Yango, we believe in supporting the wellbeing of all our key stakeholders and this programme is a testament to our commitment to their health and wellbeing.”

Through the “Wellness on Wheels” program, Yango members will have the opportunity to access a wide range of health services provided by Beaver Health at reduced rates.

These services are always available to partners, drivers and couriers and include regular health checks, consultations with health professionals and preventive examinations to help maintain and improve overall health. Some of the checks and services provided include a comprehensive health check, eye examination, physiotherapy evaluation, dental examination, mental health evaluation and musculoskeletal training.

Partners, driver partners, and delivery people who participate in the program will not only have access to discounted health services, but will also have the opportunity to receive personalized health recommendations and guidance to help them lead a healthier lifestyle. By prioritizing their health and happiness, the company demonstrates its care and respect for the vital role they play in the community, which in turn strengthens collective success.

“Partnering with Yango is invaluable to us as we aim to provide comprehensive healthcare to these essential members of our society who provide critical transportation services. It is critical for us to offer partners, driver partners, couriers and their families a high-quality service through our tailored 360-degree healthcare solutions, ensuring they receive the security and support they need for long-term well-being,” said Mr. Obi Ilogu, CEO of Beaver Health Group.

For their part, the beneficiary driver and courier partners expressed their gratitude to Yango and Beaver Health Group for this initiative and pledged to make the most of the opportunity to ensure that they are healthy and safe to carry out their daily activities diligently.
