Father arrested for assaulting Istrouma high school teacher

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A father was arrested for assaulting a teacher at Istrouma Middle School after an altercation occurred, authorities said.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Roshanda Williams, 45, went to school on Tuesday, August 27, because her son had received a reprimand in class. She allegedly became aggressive toward staff, yelling and swearing.

Police said that at a parent-teacher conference, Williams became aggressive and belligerent toward the teacher, cursing.

After further investigation by an additional duty officer, Williams was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for assault of a school teacher by a non-student.
