Kansas City Airport Lounge Open to All Passengers Landing Soon

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Get ready to escape before you head off on your next vacation.

The Escape Lounge will open at Kansas City International Airport later this year. Construction is currently underway at Terminal A North.

The lounge is pay-per-visit and will be open to all passengers. Travelers will no longer need to have a certain airline status or credit card to access an airport lounge.

KCI concessions manager Vantage Group said the new lounge will offer travelers local food and beverage options, including Martin City Brewing Company, Crane Brewing Company and Roasterie.

Other options include:

  • Chef-curated breakfast, lunch and dinner that changes seasonally and highlights local flavors.
  • Power outlets, high-speed Wi-Fi and up-to-date flight information.
  • Digital library with more than 7,000 publications from more than 120 countries

Escape Lounge did not announce prices for lounge tours, but prices start around $45 per person according to bookescapelounges.com.

Access will be free for people with the following credit cards and status:

  • American Express Centurion® Card
  • American Express Platinum® Card
  • American Express Business Platinum® Card

  • Priority pass
  • Dragon Pass

The new salon is set to open sometime this winter.
