Travis Kelce denies that his romance with Taylor Swift is a publicity stunt

It seems there’s a bit of bad blood between Travis Kelce and the Internet after a leaked “contract” claimed his romance with Taylor Swift is all a PR stunt. Yikes!

Representatives for the sports star were forced to deny that he and Taylor have plans to split later this month after a document, purportedly written on the letterhead of his US PR firm, went viral.

The document, which appears to have been created by Full Scope, claims there was a strategy for Travis and Taylor to split, with an announcement coming on September 28.

The “contract” also identified a plan to release an official statement in late September, three days “after the breakup” to “allow the initial media frenzy to calm down and ensure clarity.”

He added that the alleged announcement should be “kind, respectful and emphasize mutual respect.”

The document states: ‘Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to separate after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s private lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.’

“They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best,” the statement continued.

The viral filing also claims that the split announcement would focus on Travis’ “personal growth” and frame it as a “natural part of life.”

The document states that the plan was to send the announcement to major media outlets with an accompanying press release to ensure “widespread coverage.”

However, a spokesperson for Travis’ PR firm, Full Scope, has insisted that the document circulating online is “completely false and fabricated and was not created, issued or authorized by this agency.”

The representative said they have called in lawyers and explained: “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the persons or entities responsible for the illegal and damaging falsification of documents.”

Fans of both Travis and Taylor, as well as mutual fans of “Tayvis,” are divided over the situation. Some believe Travis’ PR firm’s claim of a leaked “contract” is fake, while others believe the “contract” is real and the team is simply trying to do damage control.

One X user wrote: ‘That document is obviously fake, since when does Travis Kelce have an official website, since when has a Taylor Swift breakup been announced on social media, and since when does a legitimate document have typos, please stop making us look bad.’

Meanwhile, another wrote: “Everyone knew this relationship was fake and PR-managed. It’s just a matter of time,” and a third agreed: “Well, duh. Everyone knew this relationship was fake.” Wow!

Taylor and Travis were first romantically linked in July 2023, three months after she split from her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn.

They confirmed their romance last October when she appeared to cheer on his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, at a home game at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri.

The couple appears to have gone from strength to strength over the past year, with Taylor attending Travis’ games and Travis supporting her at concerts throughout her Eras World Tour.
