Man hospitalized for shooting in Shawnee neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man is in the hospital after being shot in the Shawnee neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of River Park Drive around 3:30 p.m. There, they found a man who had been shot.

Officers administered first aid until emergency medical services arrived and transported him to UofL Hospital. The man is expected to survive.

Detectives are working to figure out what led up to the shooting and a possible motive. There are no suspects yet and LMPD is asking anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-5673 or use the LMPD crime reporting portal online.
