The green light is given after an alleged bomb threat at Jordan High School in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The all-clear has been given following an alleged bomb threat at Jordan Middle School in Columbus.

According to our crews, several school district police vehicles were seen near Howard Avenue.

Columbus police say the presence was due to an alleged bomb threat, but the all-clear has since been given.

The Muscogee County School District received a report of a possible bomb threat at Jordan Vocational College and Career Academy at approximately 1:56 p.m. MCSD Police, Columbus Police Department, and Columbus Fire and Safety responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.

The district does not have enough information to consider the threat credible. However, as a precaution, students and staff were temporarily evacuated.
