Suara Festival marks soft opening of Nuanu City – Arts & Culture

Uanu, a creative hub in Tabanan, Bali, has established itself as a key destination for local and international travellers. From 26-28 July, approximately 9,000 visitors from over 60 countries flocked to this dynamic district to attend Suara Festival 2024, a vibrant celebration of art, music, culture and wellbeing.

The festival, now in its third year, also marked the soft opening of Nuanu, paving the way for future cultural exchanges and collaborations.

“Seeing Nuanu come to life with creativity and global energy during this year’s Suara Festival is truly inspiring,” said Sergey Solonin, founder of Nuanu and co-founder of Suara Festival, during an interview with The Jakarta Post on July 26th.

“This event symbolizes our vision of creating a space where culture, art and communities thrive together.”

The festival featured over 100 artists across nine stages, with headliners including Australian indie folk duo Angus & Julia Stone, German electro trio Brandt Brauer Frick, Los Angeles-based electro dance duo Neil Frances, and top Indonesian artists including Batavia Collective (BTVC) and rapper Ramengvrl.

“We love the vibe (of the festival),” said BTVC bassist Kenny Gabriel after the band’s performance on July 27.

“The atmosphere allows everyone to integrate into our music.”
