Roxie Nafousi on selling one million books, self-confidence, challenges and more

Roxie Nafousi, renowned personal development coach, speaker and Sunday Times bestselling author, announces over 1 million copies sold of her bestselling Manifest book series.

If you haven’t heard of the book Manifest: 7 Steps To Living Your Best Life, chances are you still recognize the bright orange cover that has caught the eye of many people, including Bella Hadid. Based on Nafousi’s personal story, the book presents a unique 7-step guide she devised to change her life and was an instant hit with a wide audience – it was translated into 37 different languages and sold in over 123 countries. Nafousi subsequently wrote two more books to add to the Manifest series, Manifest: Dive Deeper and Manifest For Kids.

“The books are very accessible, easy to read and practical,” Nafousi says when asked what the key to the books’ success is. “The 7 steps really work – they change your life. That’s why people tell their friends and spread the word because they experience an incredible transformation.”

And it’s true, they work. I still remember the day I “met” Nafousi online. It was summer 2021 and the entire world seemed to be thriving on wellness and spirituality. Along with tongue scraping and gua sha facials, I decided to sign up for one of Nafousi’s online workshops to learn exactly what manifestation is and how to do it right. Two hours later, my mindset would have changed forever – and for the better.

Nafousi’s 7 steps weren’t revolutionary, but they stayed with me, particularly the one about “eliminating fear and doubt” and “turning jealousy into inspiration.” Three years later, the wellness trend may have waned, but Nafousi’s message still resonates. I still journal every day (a practice I started the day of Nafousi’s webinar and have rarely missed a day since) and practice his 7 steps consciously.

Maybe it’s Nafousi’s authentic and masterful speeches (she now travels the world speaking to thousands at her events on the topic as well as major corporations like Meta), or her vulnerability (she was candid about her past struggle with addiction, depression, and anxiety early on), the author’s journey to greatness in a short space of 4 years is not only incredible to witness, but also reassures everyone that they really can achieve what they believe they deserve. “Anything is possible,” Nafousi says, “You truly do have the power to do amazing things and be whoever you want to be.”

When asked what her advice is for someone who wants to change their life or simply achieve something extraordinary, Nafousi doesn’t hesitate: “There is nothing more motivating than self-confidence. The most important thing is that you believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals. If you don’t yet, that’s okay (most people struggle with this), but now is the time to start your healing journey. Dive into personal development, read books, listen to podcasts, go to therapy – do whatever you need to do to start realizing your worth.”

Nafousi says her biggest challenges are the same as most people’s, as she has different responsibilities and tries to find a balance between work and life. Even though her method is widely endorsed and she herself has become one of the recognized and respected leading experts in the field, Nafousi still faces negative comments and criticism as a public figure, but she is now better equipped to deal with them.

“I remind myself that it’s completely normal and part of the job. You can’t please everyone, no one can,” the author says, before telling me that she’s now at peace with criticism, especially since the kindness she receives far outweighs it. “It would be a disservice to all the kind people out there if I focused my energy solely on people who don’t like me or my work.”

And what’s next for Nafousi? It seems like he has a very busy schedule ahead of him. “I’m writing a new book, which is due out in March 2025, and I have some new projects I’m working on. I also have my upcoming LIVE shows in Manchester, Dublin and Dubai! I just want to keep inspiring people as much as I can.”
