MTV fans Laguna Beach and its spin-off The hills You’ll know Lo Bosworth by name, and if not from her stint on the hit reality TV show of 2004, then as the founder of holistic body care brand Love Wellness. Needless to say, she’s come a long way since her days as the beloved, bubbly teenager who graced our screens with her energetic personality.

Between running a business and hosting your own podcast IntuitionsBosworth, now 37, has established herself as an entrepreneur in the health and wellness space, an endeavor inspired by her own experience. “I became ill due to vitamin deficiencies when I was just starting out in my career, in my early twenties,” she says. Through Love Wellness, which launched in 2016, she set out to provide solutions for women’s health issues through products and supplements free of unwanted (but commonly used) ingredients. After nearly eight years of operation, she continues to “raise the bar.”

Bosworth has come to realize the importance of wellness, the meaning of which has evolved with age and time. So what does wellness mean to her now? “Wellness to me is about balance,” she says. “You can burn out on ‘wellness routines’ just as easily as you can burn out at work. I practice an 80/20 rule where 80 percent of the time I make healthy choices and 20 percent of the time I party, drink, eat what I want, and rest my body.”

“Balance” may look different to each person, but we can all agree that in some ways it makes us feel good. As Bosworth says, “feeling good is not asking too much,” a message that applies to both your professional and personal endeavors. Achieving a state of balance is not a linear process—it often involves some trial and error to get things right. Just rightFor Bosworth, much of the process starts from the inside out. Below are the products Bosworth recommends to maintain that balance.

Lo Bosworth’s favorite wellness products

Love Wellness Daily Multivitamin: $20.00

“I started taking Love Wellness after discovering that a severe vitamin deficiency was causing a domino effect of negative health outcomes in my body, so naturally, I can’t live without Love Wellness Daily Love Multivitamin,” says Bosworth. Made in collaboration with medical advisors, each capsule contains over 25 essential nutrients, including cortisol and estrogen, to support hormones in the body. Plus, it’s free of sugar, tapioca or corn syrup, and contains no artificial colors or flavors.

Paleo protein powder: $40.00

“I like to start my day with a protein shake sometimes, and I like Paleo Pro powder,” says Bosworth. One scoop provides 26 grams of grass-fed protein isolate and egg white powder. It’s paleo- and keto-friendly, and the ingredient list is simple and straightforward. The formula is gluten- and lactose-free, and contains no artificial fillers, added sugars, pesticides, or preservatives. As a bonus, you can choose from five flavors. “The old-fashioned cocoa flavor is great,” says Bosworth.

Love Wellness Gut Feelings Probiotics: $30.00

One product that gives Bosworth her enviable inner glow is Love Wellness’s Gut Feeling Probiotics. (“It all starts in the gut,” she says.) The formula is third-party tested, and each capsule contains probiotics and prebiotics to support a more balanced biome, a healthier digestive system, and brighter skin. Like many Love Wellness supplements, it contains no sugar, tapioca or corn syrup, and no artificial colors or flavors.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Cream: Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ — $4.00

Normally $20

“Speaking of probiotics, I love Beauty of Joseon’s Probiotics Sunscreen,” says Bosworth. “It’s the best.” Made with sensitive skin in mind, this facial sunscreen contains rice extract (to help reduce sun damage) and fermented grains (to deliver probiotics to the skin). These antioxidant-rich ingredients can also calm redness and other signs of irritation.

Love Wellness pH Balanced Cleanser: $15.00

“I don’t wash my face with any specific facial cleanser,” says Bosworth. “I actually use our pH-balanced vulva cleanser because it’s so gentle and works so well.” The cleanser keeps a simple ingredient list, avoiding common skin irritants like natural and synthetic fragrances, glycerin, parabens, SLS, SLES, and PEG. Instead, it contains aloe and candela to cleanse and soothe skin. “I feel like it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. I actually use it all over my body,” she says.

FaceGym Multi-Sculpt High Performance Gua Sha: $66.00

“I love my FaceGym facial gua sha,” says Bosworth. “It’s the best one I’ve ever used.” It’s shaped to fit the curves of the face and features multiple sides, including one with a combed edge for a deeper massage. This gua sha is also made from medical-grade stainless steel, which is not only more durable than jade or rose quartz options, but it’s also nonporous to prevent bacteria buildup.
