Hazelton inmate and Maryland woman charged with trying to smuggle drugs into correctional facility

BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. (WDTV) – A Hazleton inmate conspired with a Maryland woman to smuggle drugs into the facility, according to an indictment from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Olona Roba, a federal inmate at USP Hazelton, and Sakile Fiddermon, of Fort Washington, Maryland, were charged with heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine, authorities said.

Roba, 26, and Fiddermon, 23, are accused of conspiring to smuggle heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine and suboxone into the prison. Fiddermon attempted to smuggle the drugs into the prison for Roba, the official said.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
