A motorcycle and a scooter swept away by a flood; two dead and one missing – myRepublica

BAGLUNG, Sept 6: Two people have died and one is missing after being swept away by floodwaters in Baglung.

According to the District Police Office, Baglung, Arjun Sapkota, 23, and Abhishek Regmi, 22, lost their lives when they were swept away by the flood that occurred in Bandre Khola, Baglung Municipality-4, last night. Similarly, Kamal Sapkota is missing after being swept away by the flood.

They were swept away by the flood while crossing the Bandre Khola on a motorcycle (Dha 2 Pa 8010) and a scooter (Dha 1 Pa 9996).

The bodies of Sapkota and Regmi were discovered at a depth of about 200 metres. The bodies are at Dhaulagiri Hospital in Baglung for post-mortem.

Police said a search operation is underway to locate the missing person.
