Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha slams co-star for bad behaviour but is told: ‘You’ve got nerve’

Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha didn’t hold back on a recent episode of the ITV show when she criticised a co-star’s habits, claiming she had “a problem”. During Thursday’s 5 September episode of Loose Women, panellists Nadia, Kaye Adams, GK Barry and Frankie Bridge discussed the idea of banning phones in restaurants, sparking a heated debate.

As part of the segment, the group investigated how a bistro had banned the use of mobile phones a year ago, a move that led to more diners ordering from the dessert menu, so they could extend their stay and continue their conversations.

Starting the conversation, GK Barry explained that her phone was “a security issue” for her and that she would not like someone to take it away from her. “God forbid someone takes my phone away from me, because I feel like if something bad happens, at least my phone is there and I will know about it immediately. It’s a security issue for me,” she said.

In response, Nadia, 59, shared her thoughts on the matter. “The problem is that I think the mistake is that we think it will make us feel less anxious, but actually it is the anxiety that makes us have the phone there.”

However, following her statement, her co-star Kaye, 61, responded that she had “had a nerve” and that Nadia had “always had your f***ing phone”. The statement didn’t go down well with Nadia, who added: “Kaye Adams, no, no. Can we call Jane? She’s in Barcelona.”

Incredulous, Nadia pointed the finger at Kaye and admitted she was “100% addicted to her phone,” though she also criticised her co-star for his behaviour. “I admit it 100%, but in restaurants you have a problem with your phone. When we have dinner, Jane and I never take our phones out,” she explained.

As the debate unfolded, former The Saturdays star Frankie joked: “Hold her, hold her” as she approached Kaye, who told Nadia: “You’ve got cheeks.”

Nadia then spoke about the time she and Kaye appeared on The Celebrity Circle in 2021 and claimed Kaye was “foaming at the mouth” when her phone was taken away from her for seven days.

Responding to the claim, Kaye joked: “You’re imagining it. Call my lawyer, this is absolutely terrible.”

The debate comes as popular panellist Jane McDonald revealed she was returning to the show after a decade-long hiatus. “I’m looking forward to joining Loose Women next Friday 6th September for some good gossip about all that’s coming up,” she wrote in a social media post.
